(Fame EMS) is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to delivering essential basic and advanced life support services. Serving over 26,000 residents across six municipalities in Mifflin County, PA—including Lewistown Borough, Juniata Terrace Borough, Burnham Borough, Derry Township, Granville Township, and Decatur Township—Fame EMS stands as a pillar of community health and safety.

Governance
Fame EMS is overseen by a seven-member Board of Directors, comprised of esteemed community leaders from within our service area. This board ensures that our operations align with the highest standards of service and community care.

Our Fleet
To provide rapid and efficient medical response, we operate a comprehensive fleet that includes:

Six Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulances: Equipped to handle critical medical emergencies with advanced medical equipment and highly trained paramedics.
Two Basic Life Support (BLS) Ambulances: Staffed with skilled EMTs to address a wide range of medical situations.
Five Non-Emergency Transport Vans: Ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for non-emergency medical appointments and transfers.
One Special Operations Rehab Unit: Designed to support and rehabilitate first responders during prolonged incidents.
Our Team
Our team is composed of over 100 dedicated career and volunteer members, each bringing a wealth of experience and commitment to their roles. We guarantee round-the-clock service with a minimum of three Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and three paramedics on duty at all times, supplemented by additional staffing during weekdays to meet the community's needs effectively.
